Ms. Kaplan, we met yesterday, or rather I was a cashier and you were a customer. We spoke momentarily and you gave me the address of your site. I, too, am a writer. A writer of songs. Here’s the link to my latest one, and I would appreciate any feedback you might care to give me:)

Loved the contrast between the music and the words, Paul – underscored the complacency rampant in our country – so “business as usual, everybody stay chill.”
WIth the inauguration today, to answer the question you posed, I would be even more terrified to be a black person in America. I feel the same way as a white person who is not one of the mega-rich, however. Obama was stonewalled – beautiful ideas for change that he never had a prayer of actuating. And it’s looking like the incoming agenda is to erase anything he *was* able to accomplish.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Amy,
This is going to be a little bit convoluted but your sister, Eileen, and my sister, Ellen Youngstein, are friends and were just together at their 40th high school reunion. Eileen gave my sister your bookmark and when I looked up your site and saw your picture, I realized we also knew each other from Marching band. You and I played the cymbals on the drumline. Small world. LOL
I wanted to reach out to you and tell you congratulations on becoming a published author. I am an avid reader of science fiction and fantasy and am eagerly looking forward to reading your works.
Just a heads up….I also wanted to mention that I was having a problem getting to your website with the URL address https://.alkaplanauthor.com. I tried several different methods including trying the link on the Good Reads website (https://alkaplanauthor.com/). After fiddling around with the URL address, here’s what did work: 1) Entering http://www.alkaplanauthor.com (which redirects to https://alkaplanauthor.com), and 2) entering http://alkaplanauthor.com (which also redirects to https://alkaplanauthor.com). Notice on the second address (http://alkaplanauthor.com) I did not include the ‘s’ in the ‘http’.
Gotta love the internet. 😀
Best regards,
Karen Pavero (Youngstein)

Hey, Karen. Small world indeed. Actually it was me at the reunion. I married someone from the class of 78. Eileen is in Hawaii this week.
Thanks for the heads up on the website. I’ll look into it.
Please connect with me on Facebook so we can catch up.
